Most software companies keep the roadmap in a drawer so nobody can hold them to it. We would rather you knew exactly what VertexBooth does today, what it does not do yet, and what order we are working in.
If something you need is in the second half of this page, buy the thing that already does it. We will still be here when you need a second machine.
How to read this page. There are no dates on it. We are a small team shipping to real machines, and a date we invent today is a promise we break in March. Items move down the page as they get built, and this page gets updated when they do. Everything under Shipping now is in the build you can download this minute and verify yourself.

In build
Cloud dashboard for a fleet
The gap that costs unattended operators the most money is not knowing a machine is down. Right now you handle that with remote access, which is what we do on our own booths, and it does not scale past a handful of machines.
The first half of this has shipped: each booth now writes a live status page into your own cloud storage, and a fleet page lists every machine worst first. What is still in build is the rest of one screen showing every booth you run, with sessions and takings per machine and price changes pushed to a venue without driving there. This is the feature we want most, because we need it ourselves.
Next up
Video sessions
Stills, GIF and boomerang cover most of what a bar placement sells, but video guest books and short clips are now expected at events, and we do not have them. Video capture and delivery is a real commitment on the list rather than a maybe.
360 booth support
The 360 platform is its own category now, and the software side of it is mostly a spinning arm, a timing offset and a slow motion render. We intend to support 360 platforms properly rather than half way, which is why it sits behind video rather than beside it.
On the list
Wanted, agreed, not yet scheduled. These move up when enough operators ask.
- Template and layout library. A starting set of strip designs so a new booth does not begin from a blank canvas.
- Importing layouts from other software. Switching should not mean rebuilding every template by hand.
- Green screen and chroma key. Available through AI background replacement today, but not as a classic keyed workflow.
- More languages in the guest screens. Relevant the moment a machine lands in a hotel lobby.
What we are deliberately not doing
A roadmap is more useful when it says no as well as yes.
- A subscription. Not now and not later. If the price rises, it rises for new licences and yours stays where you bought it.
- Reselling you AI credits. We will not sit between you and the AI provider and take a cut per photo. You keep the account and the rate.
- Taking a percentage of what your booth earns. No platform fee on payments, ever.
- Holding your guests’ photos. Images stay on your machine and in storage you control. We do not want a copy and we are not building a business on them.
- A macOS version. Booth PCs are Windows. Splitting the team to serve a handful of Macs would slow down everything above.
The roadmap is not the pitch. The current build is.
Download it free and judge what exists today, not what we say is coming. Every feature under Shipping now works in the unlicensed build. The only difference is a watermark on the photos.
How things get onto this list
Mostly operators telling us what broke. The MDB payment work exists because our own machine at Nova Southeastern University needed to take cards before it could earn anything. Scheduled updates exist because an update once rebooted a booth on a Friday night, which is a mistake you make exactly once.

Common questions about the roadmap
Do I pay again for these features?
No. Your licence includes twelve months of updates from purchase. Anything that ships in that window is yours at no extra cost, and the software keeps working with every feature after the window closes whether or not you take newer builds.
Will the price go up as the roadmap gets delivered?
Yes, we expect it to. The early access price is locked for the life of every licence bought at it, so a rise applies to new customers rather than to you.
What if a feature I bought for never ships?
Then buy the product that has it. That is exactly why nothing on this page is used to sell the software, and why the free download exists.
